Chicago: Teen Edition (Summer Theater Intensive)
Registration and Information
WHAT: Chicago: Teen Edition tells the story of Roxie Hart, an ambitious young woman in 1920s Chicago who lands in jail after a serious crime and quickly learns how to turn her situation into a shot at fame. With the help of a smooth-talking lawyer, Roxie and fellow inmate Velma Kelly compete for the spotlight, using charm and media attention to win over the public. Set to a jazzy score, the show is a sharp, entertaining look at celebrity, ambition, and the power of publicity.
WHO: Actors and dancers, ages 14 through 20. Performers can choose to audition for dance ensemble, an acting role, or both.
WHEN: Three performances scheduled for July 16th (1:00pm) and July 17th, 2026 (1:00 pm and 7:30 pm).
WHERE: The program will run from July 6th through July 17st, (Monday to Friday) from 9am to 3pm. The first week, July 6-10 will be at Foxboro Ballet at 14 Church St., and the second week, including all three shows, will take place at Foxboro High School at 120 South St. Auditions are June 3rd from 6:30 to 9:30. Prior to the start of the program on July 6th, there will be weekly rehearsals to review music and begin dance. Dates are tentatively scheduled for June 7, 14, 20, 22, 23, 29 and 30. Details to be emailed at a later date.
COST: Registration Fee is $650 per child. There is a $50 discount for siblings. A $300 non refundable deposit due upon registration via venmo (@Laura-Canfield-6) or check payable to LRC Stage Productions at 15 Ouimet Lane, Foxboro. Please include CHICAGO in the memo section of your Venmo or check.
The balance will be due on June 1st. Your child’s place is not guaranteed until the deposit is received.
What is included in the registration fee?
Three live shows that run approximately two hours plus intermission
Over 90 hours of dedicated rehearsal time and theater training
Professional staff, including dedicated director and directors’ assistant, music director, and two choreographers.
Outside contractors for professional theater-quality sound and lighting
Licensed script from MTI International, a leading global theater licensing agency.
